Open Access Policy

The Journal of Experimental and Clinical Anatomy (JECA) is a fully open access journal. All content published in JECA is made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, without subscription or access charges to readers.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright in their work.

Articles published in JECA are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Copyright © 2002–present Authors; published by the Society of Experimental and Clinical Anatomists of Nigeria (SECAN) in the Journal of Experimental and Clinical Anatomy (JECA).

  • share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format; and
  • adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material,

provided that the following conditions are met:

License to Publish

By submitting a manuscript to JECA, authors agree that, if the manuscript is accepted, they will grant JECA and its publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, archive, index, and preserve the article, and to identify JECA as the original publisher.

This license includes the right to:

  • publish the article in print, electronic, and other media;
  • include the article in databases, repositories, indexing services, archives, and collections;
  • create and disseminate abstracts, metadata, and citations;
  • authorize third parties to reproduce, distribute, and preserve the article in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons license.
