Abstract

Objective: This article is intends to provide a short review of the normal anatomy of the Penis, Scanning protocols and various imaging manifestations of penile disorders. Penile anatomy, cases of penile tumor and trauma that present pertinent acoustic signatures are reviewed. Ultrasonography in conjunction with color and pulsed Doppler imaging is important in the assessment of penile disorders. The normal sonographic anatomy of the penis, scanning techniques and various penile disorders are discussed. Sonography (particularly with Color Doppler Sonography) is a useful method for the evaluation of penile anatomy and also investigating the pathologic consequences of trauma and tumors.
